SENIOR
CHECKS

Empowering financial independence.

Managing finances can become increasingly challenging with age.

Many seniors face financial difficulties due to limited income, rising expenses, and navigating an increasingly digital world, making it hard to keep up with bills, track finances, avoid financial scams, and more.

By providing one-on-one support and access to social welfare services,

Senior Checks empowers older adults to make informed financial decisions

and live with greater peace of mind.

What is Senior Checks?

Senior Checks is a free money management program that offers a wide range of services to support with various financial tasks. These include assisting with bill payments, budgeting, mail management, check writing, navigating online banking, and protecting against financial scams. Our dedicated team is here to provide practical help and guidance, simplifying the complexities of financial responsibilities.

How it works.

We prioritize personalized support for our program clients by pairing them with dedicated, trained, and vetted volunteers who serve as their Bill Paying Assistants. Additionally, our licensed social workers play a vital role in facilitating our program by connecting clients to relevant social services that can greatly benefit their budgets. We've discovered that many of our Senior Checks clients are unaware of the social services they qualify for or are unaware of their existence altogether.

Senior Checks welcomes all Bergen County residents aged 60 and above, offering our services completely free of charge.

In partnership with the Bergen County Division of Senior Services, our program stands as the sole provider throughout the county that offers complimentary, one-on-one, in-person money management services tailored specifically for older adults.

Senior Checks provides services in partnership with Bergen County Division of Senior Services at no charge to eligible clients.
