An in-home Assisted Living Program (ALP) that serves individuals living in subsidized senior housing.
ONE SIZE DOESN'T ALWAYS FIT ALL.
PALS offers a way to age in place and receive customized and reliable care in one's own home. It is an alternative to moving out and entering an assisted living facility or nursing home. It's a creative solution that maintains independence while providing essential care.
PALS care includes the following:
Help with personal care, such as bathing,
dressing, using the restroom, grooming, etc.
Nursing & social work services
Supervision and coordination of
Medication administration and management
Laundry and light housekeeping
Help with meal preparation
Assistance with accessing transportation
PALS is affiliated with healthcare providers who visit each of its buildings regularly, including:
Lab Work Technicians
PALS currently operates in three subsidized apartment buildings:
Westwood House in Westwood, NJ, as well as Golden Tower and Belmont Gardens of Garfield Housing Authority in Garfield, NJ.
There is no fee for individuals who qualify for New Jersey's MLTSS Medicaid program. A generous, sliding scale private rate is available for those who do not qualify for MLTSS. PALS provides some services in partnership with Bergen County Division of Senior Services at no charge to eligible clients. Tenants of all buildings continue paying rent to property management.
Staffed with nurses and aides 7 days per week, 8 AM to 8 PM with a registered nurse on-site or on-call at all times, PALS offers consistent, continuous care for its clients.
